Mrs. Vinz's Website
Hello! Welcome to my website!
The 2016-2017 school year marks my tenth year of teaching! I truly can't believe it! It is my second year teaching third grade, as I was a second grade teacher the first eight years of my career. I am looking forward to critiquing my third grade 'tool belt' this year and am excited to begin!
I graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, and in 2008, I graduated from Medaille College with a Master's Degree in Elementary Special Education. The past nine years that I have spent in the classroom have undoubtedly reinforced my career choice and allowed me to experiment with numerous teaching and management styles and find ones that suit me and my students the best. While being a teacher requires many different roles and responsibilities throughout the year, the rewards are tremendous. I feel so honored to be such an influential part of a very important time in children’s lives. With that said, I am very excited to work with you and have the privilege of helping your child be successful as a third grader this school year.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy staying active and spending time with my husband, Ryan, my wonderful family, my nieces and nephews, and my friends. During the fall months, I coach girls' varsity volleyball with my dad at St. Mary's High School in Lancaster, where I was a former student and member of the volleyball team.
