There are many ways to find a book that you will enjoy:

  • Ask for recommendations!

    • Ask a friend

    • Ask your teacher

    • Ask your school librarian or a public librarian

  • Look at the bestseller list! 

    • The New York Times lists the bestselling books in several categories including the Top YA Hardcover

  • Try the YASLA bookfinder database! This site will help you find books based on:

    •  Award/Book List

    • Author

    • Genre

    • Award Year

  • Check out the links to Book Seer or What Should I Read Next, just enter a title or author of a book you enjoyed reading and you will be provided with a list of similar books! 

  • Take a Book Suggestion Quiz! Answer a few simple questions to determine what genre to try next!

  • Search the OPAC using a subject term for something YOU LIKE or something YOU DO! (For example sports, horses, music, etc.)

Pioneer Library System

Stevens Memorial Library is part of the Pioneer library System. Interlibrary loan through Stevens can get you materials from all the other libraries in their system. It's another option!
