The Math Team studies mathematics concepts and practices solving problems, in preparation of competition against other school teams in the Genesee Valley BOCES District.

Meetings

Once or twice a week during 6th period, in Room 121.  Team meets more frequently as competition dates approach.

Agenda / Activities

Includes after-competition lunches, to discuss the event.

Competitions

Four scheduled team competitions.  Competing team consists of nine members (two are reserved for ninth and tenth grade students).  A competition consists of five individual rounds, two relays, and one team session. 

Individual team members may possibly be invited to represent the region in the Monroe County Competition and / or the State Competition.

Who can join

Any student in grades 9 to 12.
