If you are interested in becoming a lawyer, engaging in public speaking, entering law enforcement, etc. this club is for you.  The team prepares a legal case and presents it before a judge in a mock trial.

Mrs. Diane Gebel and Mr. Vincent Hemming from the District Attorney’s office

Meetings

Wednesdays after school, and occasionally during 5-6 periods closer to competition.

Agenda / Activities

• Prepare both the plaintiff and defense sides of a case.

• Take the role of lawyers and witnesses on both sides of a case. 

• Participate in competition against different teams from other schools, i.e. our plaintiff will compete against their defense and vice versa. 

Who can join

Students in grades 9  - 12

Competitions

Mock Trial competitions with schools from Wyoming, Genesee, Livingston, and Orleans counties.

Expectations

• Attend meetings.

• Preparation for role-play as either a witness or a lawyer.

• Listen and work to the best of your ability in competition.
