The purpose of the club is to create the Torch, the High School Yearbook, by capturing and recording memories.

The 2009 edition of the Torch was singled out for recognition and placed in the Walsworth Publishing Company's "Gallery of Excellence."

Mr. Robert Shaffer and Ms. Laura Steves

Meetings

Mr. Shaffer teaches the yearbook staff 7th period on "A" "B" and "C" days. Otherwise, we meet during lunch and study halls.

Activities

The club is responsible for:

• taking photographs of school activities throughout the year,

• compiling sports and club photos,

• organizing the layout of the yearbook,

• and creating a yearbook that is appealing to all high school grades.

Who can join

The club is only open to Seniors.

Expectations

Members are expected to:

• work hard,

• to be organized, and

• to be responsible parts of the team.

We deal with many real-world deadlines that must to be met or we will suffer financial setbacks. The goal is to be on time with layouts and pictures, under budget, and with as few mistakes as possible.
