The Attica Middle School Compact Team was formed in response to the District's School-Based Planning and Shared-Decision Making Plan.  The Team's major goals include:

  • Encouraging and honoring academic achievement:  The Breakfast of Champions is an annual event honoring students in grades 5-8 who maintain grades on the Honor and Merit Roll throughout the year.

  • Literacy Initiatives:  The Read-a-thon for grades 5-8 in March of each year promotes the opportunity for students to explore reading for pleasure and fundraise for a worthy cause.

  • Character Development:  In an ongoing process to promote character development, the Team uses the Asset Development Approach to focus activities towards the development of assets which will improve student achievement and students connection to school and community.  Some of these activities include:  silent mentoring, Red Ribbon Week activities, Veteran's Day programs, box tops for education, Family Fun night, spirit wear sale and Pennies for Patients fundraiser.
