Pre-kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year is now open to Attica families.
If your child will be four (4) years old by Dec. 1, 2024, he or she is eligible for our free, half-day pre-kindergarten program. You must live in the Attica Central School District to qualify. This program is a grant-funded program, which is subjected to approval by the NYS budget.
There are a limited number of spots for the Pre-K program. 18 spots in the a.m. session and 18 spots in the p.m. session. The a.m. session runs from 8:15 - 11:00, and the p.m. session runs from 12:15 to 3 p.m. The program follows the school's instructional calendar. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the school.
If more applications are received than spots available, a random lottery will be held as required by NYS requirements. The lottery date will be April 12, 2024 at 3:30 pm in the Performing Arts Center. Parents will be notified of lottery results by mail within two weeks of the drawing. Those children not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list.
Student registrations will be accepted until March 22, 2024. In order to be eligible for the lottery, all paperwork and supporting documentation must be submitted to Mrs. Ann Marie Loranty, (585-591-0400 ext. 1408) at the District office no later than April 9, 2024.
Families interested in signing up more than one child need to complete an application for each child. Twins and triplets are automatically enrolled in the program if their sibling is selected, subject to available slots.
