School Meals Full Price Dear Parents/Guardians: Unfortunately, the federal waiver enabling free school meals for all children, adopted in 2020 because of the pandemic, failed to pass permanently in Congress. Therefore, all students will go back to full price meals. You are strongly encouraged to fill out a Free & Reduced Meal Application to see if you qualify for free meals. Dear Parents and/or Guardians, As you know, we will be hosting our annual Open House on Friday, September 24th, 2021. Although the time frame is limited, this is an opportunity to visit your child’s classroom and meet your child’s teachers. Please feel free to visit all of our Special Area Teachers and Related Service Providers, as well. If your child is enrolled in an Academic Intervention Service (AIS) for Reading or Math, please feel free to stop by and visit your child’s AIS teacher during Open House. They will be available to explain the process and answer any questions you may have about the AIS program. Dear Parents and/or Guardians, I would like to share with you some exciting news! Attica Elementary School will be having an Open House on Friday, September 24th, 2021! Although it will look a little different, we are pleased to be able to host this important event at our school for our students and their families. For this year’s Open House, we will be utilizing the following guidelines: In an effort to social distance as best we can throughout the evening, families will be divided into time slots according to the beginning letter of their CHILD’S LAST NAME. Last names beginning with A - E should attend Open House from 5:30 – 6:00 P.M. Last names beginning with F - M should attend Open House from 6:00 – 6:30 P.M. Last names beginning with N - Z should attend Open House from 6:30 – 7:00 P.M. We are hoping that this schedule will accommodate all families and create a safer environment as we navigate our Open House. We appreciate your cooperation with trying to adhere to this schedule. If you have children with different last names, please feel free to choose either time slot. All students, staff members and visitors will need to wear a mask while inside the building during Open House. We are asking all Open House participants to ENTER through the front doors of the building and EXIT through the side door of the building. While inside the building, please use the directional arrows to navigate our hallways and stairwells. Please note that the PTG will NOT be holding a hot dog sale this year. Thank you, everyone, for your anticipated cooperation with our Open House protocols. We are happy to be able to provide this opportunity for our students and their families so that you can meet your child’s teacher and see your child’s classroom.
