Dr. Kiel Illg.

Dear Attica Central School Community,

The month of December is not only a time for joyful festivities but also an opportunity to come together as a community and make a positive impact on those around us.

I am incredibly proud to highlight the various community service initiatives undertaken by our students, staff, and families. From members of our Future Farmers of America chapter volunteering at the annual Shop With a Cop event in Warsaw this past weekend to the food drive our Compact Team and Attica Parent-Teacher Group sponsored earlier this year to help establish a “snack closet” for students struggling with food insecurity at our Elementary School, our school community has demonstrated a deep commitment to giving back. These acts of kindness not only embody the true spirit of the season but also reflect the core values that define our school district. Thank you to everyone who has helped make a difference in the lives of others.

Those looking for a way to make a positive impact need not worry as our We Care Club and Attica Basket Committee are still accepting donations for their annual holiday gift drive through Friday, Dec. 15, 2023.

In the midst of our community service endeavors, let us also take time to celebrate the talent and creativity of our students. Our school district is buzzing with holiday concerts, athletic events and programs that showcase the artistic and athletic prowess of our young performers and competitors. These events provide a platform for our students to shine and bring joy to all who attend. I encourage each of you to join us in these celebrations and witness the magic of the season through the eyes of our talented students.

Finally, as we count down to Winter Recess, please follow along with the daily showcases of holiday happenings and acts of service we’re sharing to our website and social media accounts as part of our aptly named Winter Recess Countdown. While certainly representative of the generous spirit our students and staff bring to our district, these showcases are just that: showcases. It would be impossible to capture all the goods works – big and small – our Blue Devils family make possible each and every day.

On behalf of our entire school community, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season filled with warmth, connection, and the spirit of community.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to the success of our students and the support of the Attica Central School District.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kiel Illg
