A: My mom inspires me to do my best. No matter what she has to get done, how she's feeling, or what she's going through, she's always shown up and encouraged me to be the best person I can be. I don't know where I would be today without her belief in me.

A: The knowledge that I will always have people who love and support me in my life, even if it's just a few people. That gives me enough hope that the future will be alright.

Q: Imagine it’s 2047 and you have teenage kids of your own. What advice would you give your 40(ish)-year-old self about being a good parent?

A: Encourage your children. Encourage them to be themselves, to do what they're passionate about, to try hard, and to do good. Make sure that they truly know they have people in their corner always ready to support them.
