Dear Attica Central School District Community,

As we conclude the holiday season and enter winter recess, I would like to reflect on the many meaningful moments recently shared across the Attica Central School District.

This month, our students participated in a series of holiday concerts and performances that showcased their musical talents and dedication. These events brought families and community members together and highlighted the outstanding work of our students and music educators.

Our school community also demonstrated its generosity through the Attica Basket Committee Christmas Gift Drive. Thanks to the kindness and compassion of students, families, staff, and community volunteers, many local children and families were supported during the holiday season. This long-standing effort reflects the strong sense of care and community that defines Attica.

Several cherished district traditions took place this season. Elf Day provided a special opportunity for our high school seniors to get together with kindergarten students for a day of festive activities, strengthening connections across grade levels and creating lasting memories. At the elementary school, Grinch Day brought energy and excitement as students and staff participated in themed activities that celebrated school spirit and togetherness.

As we look ahead to the new year, the district will host upcoming budget workshops, and we encourage community members to attend. The first budget workshop will take place on January 22, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Attica High School Library. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn more about the budget development process, ask questions, and engage in thoughtful dialogue as we plan for the future of the district.

I am grateful for the continued support of our families and community. On behalf of the Board of Education, faculty, and staff, I wish everyone a safe, restful, and joyful winter recess and a healthy start to the new year.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kiel Illg

Superintendent of Schools
