Genesee Valley BOCES is asking residents of its component school districts - including Attica - to approve a capital improvement project focused on maintaining and enhancing the facilities that support students, staff, and educational programs across the region.
The project addresses aging infrastructure, including roofs, HVAC systems, paving, entrances, traffic flow, and communication systems, while also providing updates to instructional spaces that support current and future learning needs. These improvements are designed to create safe, efficient, and modern environments that help students succeed and ensure programs can continue to meet the needs of local school districts.
Genesee Valley BOCES serves K-12 students, adult learners, and educators each year through career and technical education, special education, alternative education, and professional learning opportunities. This project represents an investment in the facilities and resources that support those programs for years to come.
The vote on this project is set for Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Polls will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at nine locations across the region.
One of the polling places is in our Performing Arts Center, 3338 East Main Street Rd., Attica.
