A: National Honor Society, Attica Marching Band, Student Government, Best Buddies, Ski-Club, Indoor Track, Softball, Superintendent Advisory Council. 

Q: What is your proudest achievement?

A: Completing all of the obligations of the Seal of Civic Readiness. 

Q: What will you miss most about school?

A: I will miss seeing my friends everyday and the familiarity of high school.  

Q: What’s the most important lesson you learned in high school?

A: I have learned the importance of having a healthy school life and home life balance. 

Q: What do you hope your life looks like in 10 years? 

A: In 10 years I hope to be a deputy sheriff or have a career in another job in the justice system as well as being able to travel. 

Q: Who inspires you to do your best? 

A: My family as a whole inspires me because of their work ethics as well as their ability to overcome obstacles. 

Q: What’s your favorite place in Attica? 

A: One of my favorite places in Attica is the Vintage Cow because of their food and ice cream as well as their flowers.  

Q: What’s your go-to Yummies order? 

A: A small, ooey gooey brownie in a dish with rainbow sprinkles and whipped cream.

Q: If you could tell your eighth grade self one thing, what would it be?

A: Keep working hard because it will all be worth it. 

Q: What do you want people to know about what it’s like to be you, to be your age, at this moment in time?

A: It is a lot of fun as well as rewarding to be involved with many things such as sports, school activities and work. I would rather be tired at the end of the day from a busy schedule than have a lighter agenda with less achieved. 

Q: What would the title of your autobiography be?

A: “Lessons Learned: A Biography of Rachel Rickettson.” 

Q: Who would play you in a movie about your life? 

A: Myself. 

Q: What’s your most-listened to song?

A: “Confidence,” by Ocean Valley. This song has always been able to lift my spirits and uplift my mood.

Q: What scares you about the future? 

A: The uncertainty that it brings in terms of my career and life choices.

Q: What gives you hope about the future? 

A: The fact that I have opportunities to work hard and have the ability to create a happy life for myself and my family. 

Q: If you had to cook a meal to impress someone, what would you make? 

A: I would make buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches with homemade corn bread, roasted potatoes, butter garlic green beans and crockpot mac and cheese. 

Q: Imagine it’s 2048 and you have teenage kids of your own. What advice would you give your 40(ish)-year-old self about being a good parent?

A: I would tell myself to provide structure and enforce positive morals but also be understanding towards their actions as well.
