Pre-kindergarten registration for the 2022-23 school year is now open to Attica families.
If your child will be four years old by Dec. 1, 2022, he or she is eligible for our free, half-day pre-kindergarten program. You must live in the Attica Central School District to qualify. This program is state-funded and is contingent on state approval.
There are 18 slots available in the program’s morning session and 18 slots available in its afternoon session. The morning session runs from 8:15 to 11 a.m. and the afternoon session runs from 12:15 to 3 p.m. Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the school.
Placements will be determined by a lottery drawing to be held the week of May 2. Parents will be notified of lottery results by mail within two weeks of the drawing. Those children not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list.
Student registrations will be accepted until March 25. In order to be eligible for the lottery, all paperwork and supporting documentation must be submitted by April 22.
Families interested in signing up more than one child need to complete an application for each child. Twins and triplets are automatically enrolled in the program if their sibling is selected, subject to available slots.
