Throughout the month of May, Attica Elementary School has been learning about their monthly theme of service!
Mrs. Katie Kennedy's fourth grade class and Mrs. Amanda Vilagy's kindergarten class have been working hard to earn donations through completing helpful jobs and chores outside of school.
Money raised in May was used to purchase donation items for Stevens Memorial Library to be used throughout their summer reading program. Students were excited to choose items that go along their summer program theme of dinosaurs!
Last Friday students went on a walking field trip to the library to present their act of service!
Students were able to see inside the library, meet Library Director Palmer Perkins, present their donations and ask questions that they had for Mr. Palmer.
Two of our favorite student questions were "how many books are at the library?" and "do you have a dog?"
In case you were wondering, the library has 21,854 books at their library and Mr. Palmer does not have a dog.
